The PAnhellenic Conference on Electronics and Telecommunications will be held in Tripolis, Greece, on December 2-3, 2022
E lectronics and telecommunications are two fundamental and rapidly evolving fields of science, that constitute basic pillars of scientific, technology, business and economic development. Given their important role and contribution from a technical, but even social perspective, the 6th Panhellenic Conference on Electronics and Telecommunications (PACET), co-organized by the University of Peloponnese and the Municipality of Tripolis, aims at reporting progress and recent advances in all aspects of electronics and communications both at academic and industrial level.
The topics include, but are not limited to:
In Tripolis, the past and present blend together in a magnificent way. A simple walk in the city could reveal all its hidden treasures: well-preserved neoclassical buildings, parks and squares with cosy cafés and restaurants. You can see the emblematic Cathedral at Saint Vasilios square, take a stroll in Areos square -one of the largest squares in Greece- or see a play at the Malliaropouleion Theatre at Petrinou Square. Visit the Archaeological Museum, housed in a neoclassical building designed by Ernst Ziller, or the small but very interesting War Museum of Tripolis. The Archaeological Museum of Tegea (http://www.tegeamuseum.gr/) can also be reached within a 15-minute car drive from the city centre.
Mantineia, the Land of Moschofilero Wine, is located in the northeastern part of Arcadia, only 14 km from the city of Tripolis. There lie the remains of the ancient city of Mantineia, where the largest land battle of the Peloponnesian War took place. Close to the archaeological site lies the Christian church of Saint Foteini, which combines Byzantine and ancient Greek architecture. Near the village named Kapsia, you can visit the stunning cave, with multicoloured stalagmites and stalactites composing a unique canvas, reflected on the surface of the small ponds.
Whether skiing on the slopes or hiking on the ERA certified Menalon Trail (75 km trails), rafting on Loussios river, or just visiting the picturesque historic villages of Karytaina, Stemnitsa, Dimitsana or Vytina, the Arcadian Mountain is a unique experience. The Open-Air Water Power Museum, the Cliff-hanging Monasteries, the stone-built villages with red- tiled roofs are definitely worth exploring.
